what does this go to?
ok so i got a 95 integra.. i have had nothing but problems with it since i got it i finally got the ecu to reset because it kept shorting and blowing fuses. I fixed that now my cel came on a min after i fixed the ecu and came is 14 the idle control valve... im in the process of taking it off and i notice a clip with a yellow with black strip wire and a purple with blue stripe it looks like..just hangin out anyone know what it goes to?

hard to tell without a bigger picture, but assuming this is hanging out underneath your intake manifold that looks like the connector for the throttle position sensor, or maybe the MAP sensor. Are there any sensors on your throttle body that aren't plugged in? Not sure if you're got the car running but it will most likely have a real erratic or high idle with either of those unplugged.
Also, what do you mean by the car used to have VTEC?

That is not for the Vtec solenoid. As you can see the connector is all the way behind the IM. The vtec solenoid is all the way in the front of the motor. If you have a CEL for the IACV then I'm more than positive that's what it's for.
The IACV is a yellow/black and a black/blue, [could look like a purple/black], the other yellow/blacks are the one with the red for the EEPCSV, [evaporative emissions purge control solenoid valve] and the one with the pink/blue for the IABCSV. [intake air bypass control solenoid valve] the O2 sensor also has a yellow/black but it's a 4 wire.
All the yellow/black leads are from the fuel injector relay output, in the PGM-FI Main Relay, [12V+ when ign. switch is in run or start].
You will find the yellow/black at each injector plug, the IACV, [yellow/black and black/blue] the EEPCSV, [yellow/black and red] the IABCV, [yellow/black and pink/blue] the ECU/ECM, [IPG1 and IPG2] and the HOS, [heated O2 sensor].
I agree with mouab18c1 sure sounds like its for the IACV, he is also correct it is not for the V-TEC solenoid valve that is a one wire and it is green/yellow and not in that area of the engine bay. 94
