Re: Bad map sensor effecting my idle? (96ls)
ya but thats beacuse i have something unplugged. its unplugged to that piece thats located near my throttle body. Its not the map sensory on top of the throttle body its the other piece located directly next to it. If i plug it in my car doenst throw a cel, but it surges from 1500 to 2k at idle.

that thing u have unplugged is what controls your idle, and if it surges with it connected then it's time for a new iacv ( idle air control valve), thats why your car is idleing like ****. has nothing to with your map sensor.

If its near the throttle body it might be a throttle position sensor, this and the map are only sensors located on the TB, IACV is directly under the intake manifold check that one that is another possibility
