b20 vtec problems
i have a 98 integra with a b20 vtec its got a obd1 motor with a obd2 harness and a obd1 p72 computer with obd2 to 1 jumper i keep throwing two codes the vtec presure switch and knock sensor code do i need to do the ckf bypass and wire up vtec to my computer ive been working on this car for 2 years now and havent had it running right cause of this help me please
The obd1 ecu will not be looking for the CKF sensor so no need to worry about it. Do you have a knock sensor on the b20 block? You also need a chipped ecu to run this motor properly which will also allow you to cross off the knock sensor.
What chassis is your Integra? What harness are you running?

so what distributor are you running?
doesn't your conv. harness have vtec capability? if so, there's no need for the gsr harness. you can run the stock ls harness with the conv harness. sounds like you're complicating it, and somethings mixed up in the order

Two things to check (we'll start simple):
1. Do you have a knock sensor installed?
2. is the Vtec pressure sensor wired up? -Only a GSR/ Type R would have had this in the factory harness, if not this will need to be added....

The only codes that he is now throwing is 8 and 9. Search on google about code 9. If everything checks out code then I can almost guarantee it's a bad distributor.
