Default VTEC hesitating problem? help!

i drive a 97 jdm gsr.. i can clearly hear and feel vtec engage but the problem is, roughly around 6-8k rpms (closer to redline) you can feel it start to bog in and out and it gets very slugish. any input would be appreciated.. thanks

so far ive tried.. gas additive, cleaning the o2 sensors, changing fuel filter, changing the oil, changing the sparkplugs/wires and running a diff ecu.

HELP

i know when you dont have enough oil in the car vtec wont engage properly. i've experinced with that a couple times so check your oil but usualy when your low on oil it just doesnt let it engage until like 7 grand

i'm running a chipped p72.
the car has the right amought of oil, that was the first thing i checked.
vtec does come in around 5200, and it pulls really hard till about 7k then it just starts like bogging in and out till 8k

Yeah, try the o2 sensors for sure. Sounds to me like maybe it's running rich.

Don't think you can just clean them...they have to be replaced.
