doublecheck continuty between the ECU pin for vtec and the solenoid plug itself, you could have a break in the wire.

get a light you can wire inline with the solenoid. go for a drive, when vtec engages it should turn the light on. this will indefinatley eliminate any wiring problems. it HAS to be oil related if it lights up.

This is funny, it's like a big gathering of ricers.

What pins did you use to wire the vtec? it's a a4 for selonoid, and d6 for pressure switch. Also check for vtec, hook up a voltmeter or some sort of a tester to the a4 wire/pin and see if you get 12Vs when you are supposed to hit vtec (BTW it's supposed to be 12+). If you don't then your ecu is bad, or vtec pressure switch is broken. Try different ECU, if that doesn't work just hardwire the vtec pressure switch, run ground to d6 (double check that method because I don't remember if you can do that).

Also it's a good idea to take off the vtec solenoid and clean the oil passages.

Also remember you got to meet some conditions for vtec to work: motor must be warm, you must be going over certain MPH, oil pressure must be high enough.

And who chipped you ECU?

Does your ecu know what temperature the engine is at? Is your speed sensor working correctly?

thats right where it should be for pressure.

odd...i alsmot want to say you ran your oil lines wrong. but im not an LSvtec expert so i couldnt even begin to look at that.

yeah I don't think he would run his oil lines wrong because vtec would not be trigered by ECU, since oil pressure switch would read no pressure. This is weird, I would suggest doing two last things before going and ripping your head apart. Take of the whole vtec solenoid assembly and clean the ports. If it doesn't help try getting another vtec solenoid aseembdy and see if it will help you. There were cases of solenoid getting seized up.

stunna-chad is correct, with a huge increase of flow into the valvetrain pressure will drop.
