Default v-tec controller 2 problems

after i installed the v-tec controller 2 on my car the CEL light came on. check it with the scanner it showed no codes, cleared the CEL light but it came back on. any suggestions?

You bought the wrong part. You'll need a "VTEC" controller. A "V-Tech" controller has something to do with wireless phones.

I sold my vafc2 and gave the guy the manual with the extra sheet in it. I can't find the additional sheet on apexi's website. Hopefully someone tunes in with the answer.
