Default throwing vtec pressure switch ecu code

on my way to work this morning my check engine light came on. throwing 22. ive looked it up and ive gotten both vtec pressure switch and oil pressure switch as this error. which is it or are they the same thing? does anyone know how i can fix this? also, last night i was kinda gettin on it and it would hesitate around 7k...if that helps at all. its a 2000 gsr with only 65,xxx miles - bone stock. any help at all guys is much appreciated.

Check your oil level, if you havent changed your oil recently do so. Is Vtec engauging still?

vtec still pulls along with the butterflies at 6..it just kinda hesitates around 7..but ill check the oil, thanks

No problem, you may have to bleed your vtec soleniod as well. Sometimes you get a burp or a air pocket in there that can cause the same thing.

these are 2 independent switches, both telling you that your oil pressure is low. i'd get the problem figured out before driving the car. test the pressure with a gauge connected where the oem pressure switch goes.

make sure your oil and filter are fresh. check your pan for dents that may be blocking oil flow to the pickup.

If you would like a more detailed explanation of bleeding the solenoid send me a PM and I'll do my best to walk you through it. I've only done it about a thousand times now haha. I should have just saved it in my notes lol.
