Default stalling at a stop?

98 integra manual

when i go to stop either hard or soft roll it stalls out but i can start it right up. im not getting a trouble code for it but im getting p0441 i think and thats the evap canister. when i start the car after it sits a bit it wont do it but it will if its warmed up. ive searched and read about fuel filter which mine is brand new. or lightweight flywheel which this is a new problem and the flywheel has been on for 2 years now. also my fuel pressure regulator but thats been on a while now too. this all started after i changed my rings in my car and it didnt do it till the day after i took it home. o and sometimes when im stopping it wont stall out but the idle will drop way low and then go back up. any ideas?

I just cleaned my IACV (it was solid clogged) and reset the idle to resolve alot of these issues. It was very easy.
You will need to check out the EVAP code. Check all your connections and vacuum lines in that area.

would like to know this also because if YOU can get it to not stall i would think its your IACV. get a can of carb cleaner and clean the hell out of it.

If it just started doing it after you did the rings, I'd suspect that they aren't sealing fully yet. This would cause low engine vacuum and stalling when you hit the brakes, since the booster pulls vacuum from the engine as well.
Check your engine vacuum with a vacuum gauge. I'm almost positive that's what's going on here.

Just a thought but when you first start the car the ecu knows the engine is cold which it idles at around 1500 right? So then it makes sense that if its having trouble idling you wont notice it when you first start it up but once its warmed up and would normally idle 600-700, it then has trouble with it. I would go with the previous suggestions of cleaing the iavc, checking lines and idle adjustment screw. Do all models have an adjustment screw or maybe a different method?

I just fixed a cel 90 which was evap canister. It had a hole in it but you should be able to drive fine even with no canister. More accurately, i dont think it affects idle.

yes my friend took his evap can off with no problems to his car and yes the car chugs a bit sometimes. and im going to clean the iacv today when it cools down somemore and ya i still burn some oil i think its the valve seals but u could be right about the rings. i get 180 across when i do a compression check (dry)

Ok. 180 dry is good. I'd still check vacuum though
Tried adjusting the idle yet as per procedure?

i havnt adjusted the idle and so far ive done these things:

checked grounds
cleaned intake thinking bad supply of air.
cleaned iacv

now it will stall and it cranks and cranks but wont start i have to wait a minute and then try again and it will start but i have to push the gas a bit
sometimes it will start but stall right out again.

i can hear my fuel pump running and i have a FPR with a guage so i can see when i have someone else crank im getting fuel

im wondering if its my distributor? anyone else? maybe coil? if the icm was bad shouldnt it not run at all or miss fire?

So this happens only when applying the brakes? Its definitely a vacuum related issue then. Check and adjust your idle first. Your symptoms are more synonymous with that.
Make sure to unplug the iacv while adjusting as per procedure.

Hmmm. Ok. May not be vacuum related then. You checked ignition timing yet?
