Idle Issues Upon Startup

Idle Issues Upon Startup
It has only happened a couple of times, but I'm starting to wonder what it is. When I start the car, it hovers around 750rpm and shakes violently (whole car shakes) for about 5 seconds. Then, the RPM's gradually go up (to around 1500rpm last time I watched) and then it smooths out. Further RPM's idle normally (a bit less than 1000) and it doesn't seem to do it any more after that initial rough start up.
What are some culprits I should start looking at? I am supposed to take this thing to Kansas on Saturday so I want to fix it asap if possible. Thanks!

Re: Idle Issues Upon Startup
I'm having this exact problem. I searched the threads, but haven't found a good solution yet. During startup (for the first 10-15 seconds) idle is very low and the car shakes violently, then eventually moves about 1,000 and all is fine from there. No issues while driving.
It did this for 3-4 weeks, and this morning it wouldn't start at all. Tonight I'm going to check fuel filter, fuel pump and idle screw. Anything other suggestions?

Re: Idle Issues Upon Startup
I finally got it to turn over last night. The idle is still a little rough, but greatly improved.
I recently had a radiator hose bust and I complete that repair about the same time this idle issue started. I think majority of the problem was caused by air trapped in the coolant lines. I used the bleeder valve to get the air out and it start right up. Thanks guys for the help!
