hey guys, i just started to notice something weird on my 96 gsr, when i accelerate, some time i hear a sound like its letting out pressure, kinda like a blow off valve only not as loud, and i dont have a turbo on the car, any one know what this is?

 

Where exactly is the sound coming from; engine bay, or under the car? Possibly an exhaust leak. Have a friend rev the car with you outside, and try to pinpoint the location from where its coming from.

i just looked inside my engine bay, and it looks like oil, or prestone on some of the parts, but only little drops, i checked around the block and head, theres no oil, and i checked the rad hoses, and they seem to be fine... i dont thinks its from the exhaust, its doesnt sound like that kind of leak

 

anyone???

 

could it be a vacuum leak...?

 

i just took more time to look at my car and i noticed when i pull the throttle cable, there is oil that spits out between the block and the head, im guessing its the gasket, so im gonna get that changed, is it possible this is the sound ive been hearing??

 

i have a 90 integ with a gsr motor.. the suspension makes a squeky noise when i drive it. when ever i brake down hill, the steering wheel sometime starts whiggling. and my car also idle too whenever its on neutral or when i press the gas pedal and step on the clutch, the rpm goes up about 250rpm and then it drops back down.

can you help me?

 

I bought an Injen intake...best intake i've ever had..and its making the noises just like a turbo... kinda fun though..what im saying is its might be your intake..
