my car is messed up
today i was driving and my car started overheating, the yellow engine light came on, the the red oil light...black smoke was coming out everywhere, my car started to feel slow, someone told me i need a new head gasket, i dont know what that is. so if you could help i am going to try to fix it my self, where is the headgasket? ****also loud knocking sounds were coming from the motor and when i parked it leaked like 5 quarts of oil under my car**** please help me i dont know much about cars and i am broke.

As to what actually happened, it's hard to say. I'm going to guess that you broke a rod.

sounds like you need more than a headgasket if it leaked that much oil. Make sure there's no holes in you block or anything like that. If it is the headgasket, it's easy to replace, especially on a sohc. All you need is some basic tools and a repair manual.

LOL dude your motor is all gone. Most Hondas don't even have 5 quarts of oil in the motor.
A) You're either lying your a$$ off,or
B) You've blown a serious hole in that block but you haven't noticed that yet, or
C) You need to take it to get fixed b/c a headgasket is no easy task. It entails taking off the HEAD.
And please don't reply saying that you don't know what the Head is b/c then you're ultimately on the wrong forum. Buy a Helms manual if you're serious about changing the headgasket. It's way too complicated to explain that on this forum.

hahah you have no business driving a car man.I agree though your motor is toast.If you plan on saving some money get a helms manual and swing buy sears and by a tool set.
