Default Engine torque damper

What do these torque dampers do exactly? how is vibration when installed? with stock motor mounts? Would i be better off buying hasport street mounts?

A better set of motor mounts will be more effective.

With any stiffer mount you will get more vibration. Its a sacrifice your going to have to make. How much of an increase in vibration, I don't know.

A buddy of mine has Hasport mounts, but I am not sure what kind. And he's using Jim Fab torque mounts. And I don't think he's car is that bad.

Also, I am using the Innovative mounts. I think the 75A, the black ones. And I dont think they are bad at all.

It will all come down to your tolerance level. A possible option for stiffer mounts would be Mugens. Which are stiffer than OEM, but not as solid as the Hasports and Innovatives.

Isn't the spoon engine dampner specific for RHD cars. I remember reading somewhere that one of those JDM companies engine dampner would not work on our cars. You may want to look into that before purchasing it.

your better off just buying the prothane motor mount INSERTS, they are alot cheaper in price, and are pretty much the same thing as the hasport mounts or any other aftermarket mounts, because they just replace the stock rubber inserts with polyurethatne bushings. i have the prothane inserts on my gsr and they came with two different setup options for race or street, i have the race inserts on there now but if i feel like it i could change it to the street inserts. the race inserts dont vibrate much but the hold like a mother f***er and you'll have less wheel hop and better acceleration, trust me, you'll love em, they'll only cost you like $30-40.

i also have the 75a from innovative...to tell you the truth it vibrates a little more than you are use too and if you have loose particles that are not tighten it will rattle but it feels very sporty...and it does not let your motor move at all.....well worth the money...when you buy it, you dont have to keep the lower mounts in the front.. but if you want to buy a cheaper set..innovative also has the welded steel one for about 150 which is a good price...but billets ones are *bling bling*

The mounts worked better than the dampner did on my car. The vibration is significantly more with the motor mount inserts, but the mounts served their purpose. I personally would not waste my money on the dampner, and put it towards the motor mounts.
