Default Ecu codes with step down harness

Yo Honda tech watsup.ive always delt with obd 1 civics never had a kick down harness..whatever......I have a 96 integra now ..it has a kick down harness and chipped po6 ecu..my check engine light is on.how do I go about check codes.i try to plug in scanner and figuring it was a obd 1 ecu it didn't communicate with ecu....obd 1 you have jump the plug under the glove box....any help would be appreciated....

Anybody ?.?200 hits and No suggestions... I thought step down harness was a thing from 2000..figure it be a piece of cake here...thnx..somebody know something....

Thanks for the info parts pro.. I know all this.. The problem I have is a kick down harness obd2 integra with a po6 computer... I can't hook up scanner to obd2 port. So I try flashing it also no luck.. I come to realize though that my maintenance req lite is on.. I'm figuring that's the check engine light though being that I don't see the traditional light like the civics had... But thanks for the info..at least some tried to pitch in some info....thanx once again.

You jump the service harness like you do it to all obd1 cars. If nothing flashes then make sure your ecu isn't dead.
