what do you need to check the codes on the car ? how?

 

All you will need is a paper clip or some sort of wire. Under the dash on the passenger side of your car you will find a little blue clip tucked way up under the dash. Take the clip and you will see two wires coming from it. Just take your paper clip and connect the two wires together and turn your key to the on position. Then watch how many times your check engine light flashes. Research CEL codes on google to see what the flashes mean.
