Why do I ahve a check engine light?
I put on the missing link, and I can go into boost without it coming on unlike before, but when I really get on it the check engine light comes on and the car goes into limp mode, boggs, and backfires. Could running too rich cause this.

Re: (Junglesnake)
What type of car is it? If it's a Civic, remove the big plastic panel under the passenger-side dashboard, and you'll find a green rubber plug with a little connector stuck inside of it. There should be two wires in the connector. Get a paperclip, unwind it, and stick one end into one of the slots where the wire is. This will jump the computer and allow you to read the blinks on the dash. Do a search to find what the blinks mean. Oh, and if the CEL has already been cleared then this won't work. You have to drive the car again and get the CEL to come back on. Pull off to the side of the road and jump the ECU. That's what I always did.
