check over your bypass again, one time mine stopped working because the 2 wires didn't have enough contact

sometime the code light won't reset unless you disconnect the battery and re-connect it, you might have already done this, but its worth a try

To the OP i can't really help ya. and just so I don't have to make a new thread.....

I have/had code 45- too rich or too lean. Now it comes and goes.
Current mods are I/H/E. I've had those mods for a while but installed the headers maybe 2 yrs ago and the light first came on maybe a month ago and when I looked in the bay I noticed I had no coolant so i filled it up and the light went out. After it came on the second time i actually checked to see what the code was and it was 45. Like I said it will stay on for a few days then go away....and all of a sudden it will come back on. Right now it's currently not on.

How and what should I do to pin point the problem??

92hatch, how did you "bypass" the pressure switch? i assume you just grounded the signal wire? if so its still going to throw an intermittent code as it looks for a ground resistance variation at certain points. why did you bypass this?

aslo, have you checked your oil? the wrong weight or too low oil will not allow vtec to engage

the sensor broke so i bypassed it. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/vtec-oil-pressure-switch-bypass-really-simple-1693528/ ...that's how it was done. its currently on 10-30 motor oil and has enough oil. vtec did work and just stopped one morning. also the solenoid is not clogged because i just put a new gasket on there and took it off to check it.car only goes to 7.5rpms.
