To jump the service connector, you could do it by using a paperclip. Also, when reading the flashes, remember that a long flash=10, while short flashes are equal to 1.

anybody know where the service connector for G2s are? i believe i found it, but when i tried a jumper wire (paper clip) i didnt bring up any codes, and i thought that i would, since ive got 115 compression in one cylinder. it could be that the jumper wire sucked, ill try it again. but the "service connector" that i used, looked nothing like the one posted in that link. and i had to take out a lil plug too. it had 3 prongs that the plug went into, ill take pics once i find the charger for my camera. anybody know of any pics of what it looks like now?
I don't know about where to find the wire...
But low compression won't guarantee it throwing a code. If you want to guarantee a code, unplug something like your VSS, or your ECT sensor.
