are you sure you have the right connector? 2 pin? right next to the ecu?make sure to turn the key on after you jump the connector with the paper clip.if it stays solid there are no codes

try a small piece of wire, some of the paper clips they make are made out of real shitty metal. If the cel stays solid with both the jumper connected and disconnected that means you have a hardware issue as in bad ECU connection.

Make sure you did it correctly. You need to have the key "OFF", then insert a wire from one side of the plug to the other. Turn key to the "on" position.
