anybody no vtec probs
vtec not kicking in. does anybody no anything or is everybody non vtec drivers. i love honda tech. but maybe if i find the ls/rs section i might get some vtec help.

i have checked oil level. changed oil. checked vtec solenoid pressure switch. i just cant get it to work off the ecu. runs great on the toggle switch but i dont want it runnin like that (who does). im using a p28 ecu i dont know if thats the problem or not. its not chipped. im clueless of whats going on.

you are aware that a p28 is for a sohc 1.6l civic right? It should still work, but probobly not the best thing if your gsr is running off of its fuel maps...
do you have a friends ecu you can put in to test?

no.but i do have a friend that is running the same ecu. and it works fine. vtec and all. but its also chipped. so i dont know if i need to chip mine or not. but still vtec should kick in.

you have a vtec engine right? what do you mean ls/rs section?
check oil level....make sure you achieve all the parameters for vtec engagement and check your vtec solenoid screen

yeah.. this post is very confusing... because from what I get out of it, he drives a 91 integra and they didnt make a gs-r then, did they? so he wouldnt have vtec unless he has an engine swap...
saying he was looking for the rs/ls section doesnt make sense either, cause if he had an ls or rs, again, he wouldnt have vtec unless he had a swap..

what i meant about rs/ls section is because ive been trying to get answers from here for a long time about vtec. it seems nobody knew anything. so i figured maybe if i found some non-vtec people they could help me. all these people say thay have vtec engines but cant give no answers..
