2000 SI totalled my gain!!
My sister has a 2000 si civic that just got wrecked.. I got a 95 LS integra... HMMM. I dont know.. I feel ls vtec. Im not a fan of the LSV because of reliablity issues. but... I have a complete fully running B16 and tranny to match... I would use the whole motor but I just cant see putting a 1.6 in a car that had a 1.8. What do I do?????

that engine is worth a good amount of money, and i believe it makes more power than the 1.8 LS engine, the tranny is worth alot alot of money for the gearing it has. personally i would swap the entire engine for the b16 and sell the LS stuff and then put that money into the b16. Thats my opinion.

^^
That guy just completed your answer .
B16A2 = Torqueless compared to a B18B/C1. Especially in a DC chassis.
Swap tranny. Sell the rest of the B16 Short block + Ls tranny. Or just complete it and say it's a B16A2 long block w/ a ls tranny.

I say swap in b16 and take ls and build the long block for an ls/vtec outside the car. and when it is complete and ready for that pull b16, take off head plug it for ls/vtec, and mate it to ls block and put back in. wiring will be a snap and a nice built ls block with a b16a2 head can make alot of power. that's kinda what i'm doing right now with a itr swap into an ls then build the ls block for a b16 head for next tax season.

With the options you have I'd go LS/VTEC with the B16 trans. If you feel like laying out some more cash, I'd put an LSD in the trans and possibly turbo the setup further down the road.

An LS/VTEC can be reliable...i dont know where people get the idea that they aren't. As long as you build it correctly, they work just fine. Check the sig...

b16 torque-less. i got a b16 LS teg. Vtec is fun but still torque-less especially if you have a full interior with more than one person in the car. if i was you I would do Si tranny, PR3 pistons into your LS block, and some simple bolts ons and you will make 160hp to the flywheel pretty easily w/o waiting for the vtec.

I agree with swapping tranny so you have b16 on your ls motor. Somebody will want to buy the b16 motor and ls tranny if they have intentions on a building for turbo build, etc..
Also if your able to part out that si, you can make some money there. Rear discs, cluster, seats, wire harness/ecu, grill, wheels, tail lights, etc....

I would sell the ls trans and b16 bare block and pick up a used b18 from the j/y. build that as a ls-v using the link below, then sell the ls long block when you're done to cover the cost of the ls-v

Ls-v only has reliability issues due to the fact they are improperly built. Build it right and you will be faster than a si or a gsr and you wont have to put much money into it as you already have the main components.

Yea an LS with a B16 trans will be the same as a GSR swap... Idk whether u shoud do LSvtec or just swap the B16(Lots of people will dog u for putting a 1.6 in an integra)... But what I do know is u need to put that trans in your car for sure, that will help u so much...

Re: 2000 SI totalled my gain!!
IMO, slap the head on, sell the b16a2 short block for roughly 300-400 and get the golden eagle lsvtec kit which is about 230.
swap the transmissions and sell yours or keep it as a spare and like he said above, get it tuned sometime soon. you should be making as much (if not more) than a stock gsr but with the si tranny you will have shorter gears.
you basically in a win/win/win situation.
sell the whole b16 set up, keep all the stuff for extra parts, or build a fun lsvtec integra
