Default ls tranny w/b16

is an ls tranny good with a b16 motor? if not what would be the best tranny for a b16?

I believe the gear ratios are a bit taller which could hurt acceleration just a tad, but it would be good for gas milage on the highway. Some people want the taller gears for high horsepower engines to reduce the frequency of shifts and to keep turbo's making power for a longer period of time (assuming a turbo is being used). I have no opinion on this matter as there has been endless debate over whether it is a better transmission because of this so I won't say anything.

i used an ls tranny in a b16, its not THAT bad, now im running a s4c; MUCH better

if the b16 is all motor, you dont want a ls tranny. go with a b16 tranny or itr if you got the money
