Default ls with b16 tranny?

someone told me that if i used a b16 tranny on my ls it would make a really big difference. is that true?

It'll make a difference. The B16 tranny has shorter gearing than the LS tranny.

(Better for acceleration)

i've done a few LS swaps using the B16 tranny,and it does make a noticable difference.if you're planning on keeping the engine NA,it'd definitely be worth it to sell your LS tranny to get the B16 tranny.

To get the most out of a stock or nearly stock ls motor, then a shorter tranny must complement. GSR is good, but B16 is better, and type r being the shortest.

type R and b16 have the same gears...

I have a b16a and bought an integra to replace the gears. since that im hearing that the ls will make a big difference, but im having a really hard time finding a good condition s1 cable tranny, anyone got an idea or should i spend the extra money on a hydro conversion
