Ex-Pirelli World Challenge Civic Si Could Be Yours

It’s worth grabbing a truck and trailer and venturing into the Great White North for this PWC Civic Si race car.

Looking to get serious about racing with a minimum of fuss? We may have found the solution on Racing Junk. This 2013 Honda Civic Si was formerly campaigned in the Pirelli World Challenge as recently as last season, and it’s ready to do so yet again if the new owner so chooses.

We particularly enjoy the Spoon-inspired blue and yellow paint scheme, and we like the price a lot, too. If you think about it, $22,000 is not a lot of money for a turn key race car. It should provide its next owner with tons of racing excitement with a bare minimum of maintenance and repair. Just in case, however, the car comes with several spares, according to the ad.

The K24 engine should serve as more or less bulletproof in this application, but just in case, a spare engine and transmission is included, as well as three more sets of wheels and tires. The safety equipment is up to date and should require no further upgrading for several years.

If you want to spend more time racing than wrenching, this is probably the car for you. First campaigned by Canadian Touring Car Championship Rookie of the Year, Samantha Tan, it was most recently driven by Eric Laporte.

The fact that it was raced as soon as last year is a huge bonus. It means that the car hasn’t been sitting too long and and won’t take much work to bring up to spec for any similar series you’d care to run it in. Get in, drive, and hone your racing skills.

Ayrton Senna may have started in karts, but we think that this 2012 Civic isn’t a bad beginning, either.
