Video: The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Meets the Assembly Line
Watching a vehicle travel down an assembly line is mesmerizing. Whether it be a high-end exotic like a Ferrari, or something as basic but exciting like the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback, seeing robots and humans working in harmony is superb.
When I first started working in the automotive industry my initial thought was: “Wow, most people don’t have a clue about all the behind-the-scenes actions that must happen in order for a vehicle to come to market.” Designing, developing, approving, testing, building, marketing, and finally selling the vehicle to consumers; it takes years!
In this YouTube video by, YouCar, you can peek into one of those behind-the-scenes processes, and watch the Civic Hatchback travel down the assembly line in the UK. This 16 minute long video can take a little patience to watch in its entirety, but it’s super cool to see the many stages a chassis, body, and components must go through in order to complete a vehicle.
The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback made its debut at the Paris Motor Show, and Honda has just begun shipping them to US dealers this month. As a Honda Civic owner myself, I truly can’t wait to test one of these babies!
