VAFC understanding of highcam/low cam

VAFC understanding of highcam/low cam
I searched, and holy 1000+ posts.
Ok i have a vafc - tuned it to my best ability with a a/f autometer gauge (i will eventually get it tuned with a professional dyno - cuz i know autometer gauge isnt that accurate) - car is never in lean or stoich like it was untuned when it was WOT. Now it runs really well since i crap tuned it lol.
For reference i have 96 GSR.
My question is whats the difference between HiCam and LoCam as it says ?
I am assuming hicam is vtec lobes ?

hi and low cam refer to VTEC high and low cam profiles (VTEC on and off)
if your vtec crossover point is set to 3000 and you make changes to fuel settings on the low cam map above that, the changes will not register. you need to hit the next button and make changes on the high cam side.
and why are you tuning your car with that autometer gauge??? those christmas tree lights gauges are only good for telling you that your car is running somewhere between lean and rich. it's like shooting at shadows in the dark. maybe your tuning is right, maybe it's dangerously wrong. you won't know until you dyno w/ a wideband.
get on a dyno for some good tuning.

Definately correct about finding a dyno and a wideband. And also correct about the high and low cam settings for the VAFC. Just please don't set your VTEC to come on 3000 rpm's.

I set mine to 3000rpm's one time just for the hell of it to see what would happen, and it did absolutely nothing, vtec doesnt even kick in. Even when i set it to 4000rpm's it didnt do much, barely kicked in.

Appreciate teh help bit i did say i wil get it dynotuned, just there are no good ones around here and i have to spend money on others not myself this december - and i need to get a few more things b4 i dyno.
