Default FAILED Emissions - Please please help me!

Heres the situation, I have 2 weeks to pass, and 1 chance.

My previous test:

HC Hydrocarbons
composite .60 My reading 2.22

CO Carbon Monoxide
composite 10.0 My reading 14.5

I have a test pipe for a cat, and a JDM header so no a usdm cat will not fit nor do I have stock USDM parts.
I have a VAFC but its tuned should I set it back to 0.0, or is it better to lean it out?
I hear buy cheap low octane gas?
Any info please I need help!!!!!!!!!!(And no Im not aganst cheating, sorry to those)

-Thanks.

yup, low octane gas, but I really reccomend getting a cat, that's your biggest problem.

What else?
Would you set your fuel pressure lower than stock, can this hurt it, or keep it at stock psi?
What about VAFC?
Retarding timing gears?
Anyone read my stats and help me out, thanks.

A cat would really help. and high hc means gas is going out the tailpipe. in the long run its worth it. but anyway, id say stock fuel pressure, check your fuel regulator, dont know to much about timing gears, check injectors make sure they're not leaking, and check 02. thats all i can think of.

Your suggestions on VAFC, lean it or default it?

That is exactly what I was thinking. Now if he was just slightly polluting, it might be doable, but those hydrocarbon numbers aren't going to come down just by running leaner.

He has one chance to pass, and I really think he's dicking around with his time, when he almost certainly needs to get a cat welded up to fit his weirdo flanges.

Basically.

Now theres a reason behind why I asked if anyone knows anything about the setp up I have.
And so far very little help from people but thank you captain obvious for stating this out.
Once again, VAFC, FPR, Spark PLug Gap, additives, cam gears.
Anyone with knowledge on this board anymore?

I do understand, where you're coming with, I know that the JDM header flanges are different.

But I think you're in you're being naive that you can fix the problem with de-tuning it. You said yourself, you only have one chance, so it's not the time to **** around, do it half-assed, and then set yourself up for a fall, and worry about your car having it's registration pulled...

I tune, and I'm telling you flat out, you should get a cat, if even temporarily. Look how far you need to drop your hydrocarbons. You're not going to be able to PRODUCE less than that, you need to FILTER them out.

I know I've used some strong language, I'm not trying to attack you, but I'd like to see you pass emissions, on what you've said is your FINAL chance.

Do you want to gamble with that? It's your decision, you're an adult.
Best wishes.

What exhaust do you have and how long have you had it on the car? I have a CRX with a B16A in it with a test pipe and I passed the test when i put my new exhaust on. The HC levels manly read, because there is carbon on the walls of the exhaust. Take off your rear section and clean it really good and try it again, you'll be amazed with the results. An old school trick is to put a pint of Everclear or some alcoholic liquor type in the fuel and take it through, it helps burn cleaner. After that just add some water eater to your tank to get rid of the rest of the Everclear.

Thank you sir.
I kno you can pass withOUT a cat; man some people are idiots.
Ive heard about the alcohol but what about the 'garunteed to pass' or some other additive WITH the alcohol?
Any inputs on the cam retarding, VAFC?
Thanks.

good luck with that stuff. it reacts with your catalytic convertor which you are lacking. i had the same problem with failing, but i was much closer then you. stock cat worked well for me. passed with flying colors. maybe you should borrow or purchase used usdm **** and put it on and then take it off after you pass.
