Default VAFC info please...

I just got a VAFC and am learnig how to use it. i know i'll have to tune it on a dyno, but in the mean time can someone explain:

1 The TH-Point: What it does and perhaps some examples of how it is set and why it was set the way that it was. Also, how does it affect the correction values.

2 The V/T Unmt: Say i got bigger cams and needed a 5K switch over, how is the percentage of this affected? What does this percentage mean and how could it be set? Any eXamples would greatly be appreaciated.

Thanks

PS I have the instruction booklet, but it isn't very clear.

The TH Point is the rpms you select as your fuel tuning points. I set mine from 1000 to vtec engage RPM for the low cam and vtec rpm to redline for the high cam. This way you have finer points of fuel tuning. No sense having a fuel tuning point at low cam for 7000 rpm. you'll never be in low cam at 7k.

The VTEC unmatch is used when you are running either a higher or lower vtec engagement than stock. Stock computer thinks VTEC comes on at, say, 5500, so it adds addt'l fuel from 5500 plus. If you want VTEC to engage at 5000, you will not have the extra fuel to compensate. SO you adjust your unmatch fuel to plus 5-10% to compensate. Likewise if you want VTEC to engage at 6000, you have extra fuel that the computer is still adding from 5500-6000, so you subtract fuel with the vtec unmatch setting to take away that extra fuel.

I think he is talking about the TH Point setting which would call for a percentage not an rpm. There are two on that screen, one low and one high. The percentages are for throttle positions. As an example if the settings were 50% low and 85% high, then any throttle position 50% and lower would use the low throttle settings on your VAFC. Likewise any throttle position 85% and ABOVE would use your settings for the high throttle graph. I hope that makes sense.
