Default Is there an effective safe way to disable turbo boost (ie hold wastegate open)

I want to disable boost pressures in order to tune the car out of boost. Is there a safe way to do this by holding the Tial open? I don't just want to take off my intake piping for fear of overspooling the turbo.

any suggestions??

thanks

do you have a closed loop dump tube?

If you are in a shop area, just hook an air compressor set slightly above the rating of the spring to the side port on the wastegate (assuming you're on a dyno).

You can take the spring out like kabir said for the street, but then you get to reassemble the wastegate after. So much for my non-intrusive method

taking the spring out of the tial is like a 5 minute job. Will that effectively give zero boost?

Take the little seel ring out...unlessyou really floor it, you won't see any boost...even flooe it'd be like 1 to 2 psi max

You won't see any boost with the spring out. You'll still see some with the ring out (left it out before, just spools really slow but makes boost).
