Considering taking out a 3.0 and replacing it with a 1.8 motor is a terrible idea. You can find basic mods for the car. Pulleys, cams, and other upgrades. You have to decide what exactly your trying...

unplug it, then unbolt the bracket that holds it. Once off you'll be able to wiggle it out.

do not waste your time replacing sensors. It is the tranny internals not the sensor. Probably in correlation with the torque converter. You an i4 or a v6? Either way take it to a tranny shop or swap...
