my 2 preludes and CR-V are loud as hell. But I got $500 knocked off when I bought the CR-V because of valve train noise;)
But I would recommend doing it yourself. about $100 in tools and a shop...

i think what you're overlooking is the fact that if the hydraulic system is bad, the car won't go in to gear at all. Definitely sounds like clutch issues.

only H22 or H23 gears will work. F gears have the 5th gear machined differently, but why not just the F trans on there?

I'd be worried about the longevity of these "pro" 044s. The Bosch 044 is an OEM pump, and they last forever. When some hack starts messing with it, I can't believe that they'll last near as long. ...

ACT clutches IMO, are junk. So thats your first problem, I have seen a bunch with broken parts. We sent back one for warranty replacement on a 5th gen that was in the car for about a week and broke...

They're on there with tight tolerances, you just need to wiggle it around and try and get it out. Its easier if you can get the woodruff key out and spin the pulley on the crank. But spray some...

You just have to pull a plug out of the cylinder head mating surface on the block, H22 crank timing gear and water pump, and I think thats it.

Blacktrax is in Milpitas.
And you aren't going to do anything really unique without going super crazy. I would just throw an H22 head on it, get some nice rods and pistons on the 23 crank, and...
