removing timing belt pulley to change woodruff key
Hey guys unfortunately my crankshaft key is chipped and sheared my crankshaft pulley so I need to change it. I'm just stuck on getting the timing belt pulley off. Does anyone have any tips? I've tried heating it up and cooling down the crankshaft but it still won't budge. Thanks.

They're on there with tight tolerances, you just need to wiggle it around and try and get it out. Its easier if you can get the woodruff key out and spin the pulley on the crank. But spray some penetrating oil on the crank and try and get it to seep in between the pulley and crank and see what you can do. Worst case scenario you might have to undo the oil pump and use the pump to pull the timing gear out.

i sprayed some wd40 on the key and pulled it out using some pliers. this was in the summer so the weather was nice. not sure if it is wintery cold yet where you are.
you can also maybe try to wedge a flathead in between the key and crankshaft where it sits and tap it gently with a hammer to see if you can loosed the key a little. just be careful not to damage anything. or just try and wedge something in between the timing gear and bang it apart.
