Assuming the PW motor is ok, you may also consider a defective PW regulator. I had identical symptoms on my '96, and replacing the regulator fixed the problem. Relatively easy to replace/install.

5W-30 is correct. Per the '92 service/shop manual (pg 4-2), it is the "preferred" engine oil for the '92 Accord.

Thanks to all for the advice. The '97 Acura with the 6-way power seat was a TL model. I pulled the driver's seat from that car today, and it didn't quite line up with the bolts in my '96 Accord LX....
