Keyless Entry Control Unit for 96 Accord

Keyless Entry Control Unit for 96 Accord
I have a ’96 Accord 4-door sedan. I’ve obtained a Keyless Entry Control Unit for my Accord, to include the associated wiring harness and remote. Apparently, the EX models had this as standard equipment for the ’96 Accord. I also have the wiring diagram for this unit, and it appears that the power door lock control unit is replaced with the keyless entry control unit. Can anyone confirm this, and if this is the case, do I simply switch from one to the other? Or, do I leave the existing power door lock control unit where it is (behind the driver’s door panel), and install the keyless entry control unit as a separate/additional unit?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Keyless Entry Control Unit for 96 Accord (brose)
I had a 1994 Accord LX with an after market keyless door remote. It had a kill ignition feature with the remote. If you locked the door with the remote and unlocked it with the key, the vehicle would not start. After checking the aftermarket wiring there were only about 4-5 wires hooked up. I disconnected the kill wire and the keyless remote still works fine. Car starts with or without remote use.

Re: Keyless Entry Control Unit for 96 Accord (blindman)
I bought my control unit from an eBay auction. It appears to be OEM. The seller said they removed it from a '96 Accord; here's what the seller said regarding installation:
"There are not instructions, as this was pulled out of wrecked car that we are parting out. Basically it is just a junction harness, so it plugs into existing wiring under the left side of the dash.
"This should work for both 2 and 4 door. It will lock and unlock all doors in the car, just like hitting the lock and unlock button.
"It did work before it was removed from the car."
I had the driver's seat out of my '96 Accord, so I looked under the left side of the dash. I found no place under my dash to plug in this unit or the associated wiring harness. Any advice on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
