Well, since he said that he does nothing with the computer, you are limited to the original ignition and fuel cut governors. I would like to see how he makes the car rev to 8 grand when fuel cuts...

Maybe your friend is checking all the basics to make sure it is running properly to begin with, then removing the resonator on the intake and advancing the timing.

The GSR tranny actually has shorter gears than the LS. Try using the search button a little more and maybe look into the forced induction forum since boosting engines is what that forum is all about.

92 RS with 304K miles. Don't get discouraged, this engine has alot of life...

I don't remember mine being greased when I installed my axles seals into the tranny, maybe it was, but I don't remember it being greased, dunno. I think I used a 2x4 or something to lightly tap it...

Actually, you never want to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor when bleeding the brakes, only 3/4's of the way down.

Your concentrating on your fuel system, but you might need to check your ignition components; dist. cap, rotor, coil, ignitor, plug wires, and also your cam timing and ignition timing.

Actually, it will run better on 87 octane, unless you advance your timing to over 18* BTDC, then you would need 89 or better.
