Default 1995 Gsr, Should I buy an Intake, or not

I have a 99% stock gsr, and that 1% is simply that I removed the intake resonator... It already sounds better, and I was just wanting your guys' opinion as to whether I should waste the 150 or whatever to get an intake.. Thats money I could spend elsewhere, but how much better would it be considering I already removed the resonator? thanks.

since you dont want to spend 150 on a intake, this wut you can do. get you $20 air filter, get yourself 2.5in short pipe from autozone, stick the airfilter on the pipe put it in your stock air intake tube and you got yourself custom short ram intake for $25

Dont waste your money just put some piping into your intake tube and get a K&N filter or something than there ya go. Honestly intakes arent even worth the effort unless you have internal work done but to each their own.

you have the sound, now save the money for suspension.

take off the airbox cover if you want more sound.

you could make your own version of the comptech icebox. Theres a right up somewhere here on honda-tech. All you need is some PVC piping from your local hardware store. I would also recomend upgrading your air filter.

I would say not to get one because the gains are minimal. My car has been returned to stock and I own a short ram AEM, but I didn't put it on because it's just going to make an annoying sound.

I would rather have a mean growl at the intake and keep the exhaust as quiet as possible, no fart cannons. I run a cheap ebay intake pipe with a K&N filter. I will upgrade this intake with a velocity stack and K&N to match when I build my next engine.

i used a k&n cone filter from auto-zone and stuck it in the factory intake piping. fit like a glove and sounded great.

I'd go K&N drop in, and make a "DIY Comptech Icebox". OR just a K&N with the resonator removed should give you about all the performance gains you'll ever get from just a intake. Anything else will just make it louder, and any other gians you do get from a full short ram will be miniamal top end gains and maybe even some low end loss.

I'd keep it quiet - Get the K&N drop in and save up for a nice Header. That will make the exhaust flow better and sound deeper without the fart noise.

and if you just wanna buy the kit,

Brett makes some great products. I've been using his ITR sway bar reinforcement kit for almost 4 years now on my LS with no problems and I'll soon be putting his icebox kit onto my LS as well.
