an OBDII B18b LS engine or a B20b CRV engine? or if i could find a B20z CRV engine? i have a T3/T4 turbo(.50 trim) that im gonna put on it. right now it has a OBDI B18b LS engine in it but i don't wanna take my chances boosting it. im gonna have to get new motor mounts anyway since 2 of mine are messed up that's why i started thinking about a CRV engine. i just wanna get some other people's opinions on this before i buy one. thanks

Why don't you want to boost the obd1 b18b?

it looses a lot of oil and i theres either a piston knock or the valves are ticking and i don't really feel like rebuilding it or anything to make it run good and i want a reliable daily driven boosted car

yea i was thinking about the B18b. then what transmission would be better for a turbo car? gsr or ls? i heard gsr is better bc of the longer gears but i also heard the ls is better

The GSR tranny actually has shorter gears than the LS. Try using the search button a little more and maybe look into the forced induction forum since boosting engines is what that forum is all about.

Just get a replacement b18b longblock. Use the LS trans for a boosted setup (longer gearing).

i have a gsr tranny in it now, but it grinds when i shift around 6k sometimes so im just gonna get a OBDII B18b LS engine and tranny and turbo it. thanks for the help
