Re: Twincharged d16 build

It's funny man, I don't get help from anyone. Usually when family needs something done on a car they call me and just drop it off. I replaced the tranny in my dads 07 C6 vette last year...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

Thanks dude.

No one makes a bigger supercharger for Dseries and it's about power everywhere, not just peak. It's capable of 400whp+ and sees full boost around 4400. To be honest, I'm into this...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

Thanks man
It's not that fast right now, I'm going to try to get the pwm boost control in neptune working tonight. I'd like to run another 8psi on the turbo. I think once the holset gets over...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

Hey, here is a quick ripper video with the turbo at 11psi and 22psi total. It'll take a little over 40psi total to hit 400whp, that works out to around 20 from the turbo.

Re: car still leaking after replacing oil pan and gasket - 95 Civic Ex with D16Z6

I can't believe no one has mentioned the tiny steel washers that stay behind when you tear an old gasket off. They stay on the studs and can be hard to detect. I've seen many new gaskets leak...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

Welded and heat wrapped the wastegate dump today. Still have to drill/tap for the water meth nozzles, run a few vacuum lines, buy a new bov, and do all the air to water plumbing.

My chassis is...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

I had a snowmobile that I ran 50/50 water meth on. It had a gt2554r running 19.5psi on a 750cc twin. Oh yeah and I rode it with one hand! (amputee)

Yeah, I won't even be reving past 6500 so not too worried. This isn't a race car, it's my fun daily.

Re: Twincharged d16 build

I think you will be surprised how much heat this setup doesn't make. I'm looking forward to sharing my results!

Re: Twincharged d16 build

I am injecting 3gph before the sc and only 1gph after. The after is simply to help a little more with iat. There a a video on youtube with this exact setup on a d16/jrsc with data to back it up. ...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

Yeah, your calculations put me at 18.5 psi with 8 on each. I'll dial boost to whatever I can without surging. I've got the pwm boost control on Neptune.

Re: Twincharged d16 build

wastegate dump I'll be doing this weekend, I'll route it under the car. Exhaust is now 3" all the way to the back. There is still 4ft of snow on the ground so I'm not under a lot of pressure.

Re: Twincharged d16 build

Slacker93, fair question man. The goal of this build was response and power under 4k with that power carrying up to redline. The reason is that this is a daily driver and I enjoy short sprints up...

Re: Twincharged d16 build

8 and 8 mightcome out to 19 or so. I ran this setup with a 14b last year so i'm somewhat familiar with how it will behave. I agree that it is a little low on the map. With this setup you have to...

It's a y7 block/a6 head/z6 crank

Re: SOHC Boosted Set ups! Chime IN...a place for the SINGLE SLAMS

Skip01, sounds nice man I had a very similar setup but with a 60-1 and made 334whp on 14psi.

Here is something new I've put together this year. No dyno numbers till the snow melts.

Re: Apexi VTEC Controller

vafc is a bad idea for pretty much anything. Vtec increases power in 3 ways. The first is obviously cam lobe change, the second is fuel map changes, and the third is IGNITION MAP CHANGES. The vafc...

Re: Sluggish Acceleration & Bad MPG

sounds to me like the ignition is breaking up at low rpm, I'd do cap/rotor and check your plugs. How do the wires look? I'd run oem ngk wires if you can, they are good for 500+ hp and are the best...

Re: getting a higher compression ratio (b18a1)

Actually it is pretty much that easy. pr3 (b16) pistons will get him where he wants to be. Ran a b18a with i/h/e and pr3 pistons, it was much faster than my b16 swap. Ran 14.4 @ 94mph all day long...
