Actually the elasticity of the gasket as no relation to the torque value. The torque is simply the force applied to the gasket. The elasticity would have an effect on the deformation of the material...

As mentionned above, you really should get a timing light if you are going to play with the distributor timing. You should not advance behond 18 degrees.

I used Redline and Synchroshift and now I am back to Honda MTL which works like a charme. Never use GM synchromesh and would have never tought of using GM stuff in a Honda car.
