remove oil filler cap

jack it up from the front

remove oil pan drain bolt

remove oil filter

replace oil filter with new honda filter

replace oil drain pan washer (with new honda washer) and bolt

fill oil, probably 4.5 quarts for your SI

lower car on level ground

put oil filler cap on again

check oil level

run motor for two minutes

check oil level

you want to use a good oil too. i reccommend mobil or mobil 1

^^^I might add. Check the old oil filter for the o-ring. Sometimes that get stuck on the engine. Also, lube the o-ring on the new filter with some new oil.

First things first

be careful, oil is hot after you've been driving your car.

Yea dont just jack it up with a regular jack. Use jack stands or get some ramps and wheel chocks.

Yes, our cars are too low to be messing around without stands!

You can buy the Honda filter from the dealership and it comes with the new crush washer, just in case you were wondering. I'm lazy (and without my own garage while in the apt) so I just buy the filters from the dealership 3 or 4 at a time and have the oil changed at a quick-change place.
