car idles at 2000 rpm when first started
ive been noticing that my car's idle goes to 2000 rpm every morning but then it goes down after like 2 minutes of leaving it running. i check all the vacuum hoses and they're all fine. it only really does it when its cold but it idles fine after its been warmed up. i think my temp sensor on the head might of gone bad. any ideas of what it might be?

same happens to me, but I just think of it as the engine warming up, and the idle goes lower as the temp rises

2000rpm is pretty normal on pmgfi cars. (especially in cold climates/winter months etc)
my hondas have always started at around 2000-1700 rpm, stayed there for about 30 seconds then slowly brought them selves to idle. basicly your fitv valve is open and as the coolant temp raises the valve begins to close lowering your idle.
3000 rpm is NOT normal though
