300 for something that don't make you go faster?
I really like the idea of reusing a good pass seat
is that even possible?

Look in the FAQ I beleive there is a write up. If not, search. I aswell will be doing this in the springs.
My brother has for sale 2 mint seats, absolutely no damage to them at all. They were purchased from honda in 1998 and they went into a race car that only got 15000kms before my brother bought the shell and used the seats in a different project. He wants 400$ for them!!! Crazyness.

And for a hundred boinks less, you can get your seats refaced and looking/feeling brand damn new!

wes v had his seats recovered. there surprisingly isnt a write up on his home page. probably because he didnt do it himself. but his turned out great.
you can get the seats recovered with any fabric than just leather. some shops will custom reinforce the bolsters too.

Re: (Tyson)
I agree with this, if you like your seats, get them recovered, pick the material you want, and ask them to add wear patches on the prone areas.
Hell you could buy material from someone like Sparco and have them recovered in that with the wear pads.
I'm considering this for my car. I just like the Sparco material and it isnt that expensive.

Re: (RSZero1)
Another option is to just use a passenger seat for the driver seat. All you have to do is swap the rails. The only difference will be that the recline lever will be on the right side instead of the left side. I think this only works on 88s though, because the 89-91 models have the seat belt buckle on the seat.

Re: (bmg123)
i wouldnt consider it a trivial matter to have the lever on the wrong side.
now the real best thing you can do is get a JDM "passenger" seat to replace your driver seat.

Re: (EFmugen)
20 year old cloth is 20 year old cloth, same thing with the weak *** foam. Spend the $250 or whatever and get them recovered and have the bolstered rebuilt/reinforced. I got mine done in vinyl with cloth centers.

Re: seats...
While you're at it, throw some Del Sol seats in there, that's what I did. They are comfortable, hold you in there under "high G", and seem much more durable.
It truly blew my mind what an improvement it made....of course, I had shredded crap "DX" ones before..... Requires a little fab work, though. Not a direct bolt in...but not too bad.....
Example installed...Mine are solid blue matching my interior....no pics yet...
P.S., door mounted belts bite...yay '88's!!!
