bouncing idle

bouncing idle

when my car idles it will dip down to about 700-800 rpms and then bounce to about 2,000 rpms. it only does it once in a while. Does anybody know why or how i can fix this?

mine does it when i have the a/c on and I'm stopped, if its hot outside.

could be many things... have you done a tune up recently? does it happen when the engine is hot or cold? normal idle is 750rpm +- 50rpm...

I would guess either you have a hose disconnected somewhere or a vacuum leak

this is after its had a chance to warmup? You probably have a leak somewhere. If theres a huge electrical load like amplifiers for car audio pushing some subs, it will rev higher to meet that demand.
