some help installing a Performer X into EG with a B series
hey everybody. I need some help with this install. Im trying to put a B series motor into my EG hatch and use a Performer X intake manifold. Having some fitment issues with the fuel filter though. I was wondering if anybody has done this install and what they did with the fuel filter placement? any help is appreciated. Thanks.

well not the actual intake manifold itself, but once the throttle body is on it does, it did the same thing in my EK coupe, and I ended up bending the fuel line to the filter and moving the filter over from its original mounting place on the firewall, but it was kinda ghetto and was supposed to be a temporary fix, but never got around to doing it right. Now that im putting this motor into a new car I want to get it right before its all said and done.
So basically its the throttle body/TPS sensor that will be hitting the fuel filter. Again, any help is appreciated.

Pics. I've seen the X installed on a few cars and never noticed this obstruction issue you're talking about.

the motor isnt installed in the car yet, but my friend and I measured from the driver side shock tower to the fuel filter is 24.5 inches and we dont have that much length from the driverside mount to the fuel filter, hopefully you can picture what im saying without pictures. I guess I could try to take some pictures later on but I was hopeful someone could post a picture in the thread beforehand.

I installed that intake in my ek with a gsr motor. It hit my fuel filter too, so I ended up using a braided line and switched to an aeromotive filter so mounted it lower on the firewall. Or you go with your first option and re-bend the stock line and pushing it out of the way.

Re: some help installing a Performer X into EG with a B series
as of tonight, it looks like my only option will be to move the fuel filter over 1 bolt hole, and only have the bracket attached with 1 bolt, in order to fit. any other suggestions would be appreciated though. Thanks again.

Use this part from earls to convert your oem feed line to a -6an

My pictures aren't the best but you can see you can mount the filter anywhere. I used the existing mount for my Aeromotive Filter.
