No start after stalling engine. distributor and rotor replaced 1/2 hr prior
OK. Wtf?
95 civic coupe: installed a new distributor cap and rotor after work and drove around town to run arrands. As I was looking for an address on a building I stalled the car. Went to restart it and nothing. Cranks over and over.
Because the car just stalled (clutch dump) I instinctively tried restarting it. Then I thought oh god timing belt! If so it's too late now, so as part of the roadside troubleshooting I looked inside the oil filler cap and can see the rockers moving as the eng7ine turns.
But the main thing is I got no spark. Pulled the plug wire and stuck a Phillips in the boot and grounded it.
Is there something cap and rotor related that could cause this? I literally changed it 1/5 hr before the car died.
I replaced the timing belt less than 2k miles ago. Car ran wonderful all up until I stalled it. Now it won't start.

check to make sure the screw that holds the rotor didn't fall out. happened to me 1 time and the screw fell to the back and damage the distributor.

Nope. That was the first thing I checked. Rotor is fine, screw is where it's supposed to be.

If you still have the old cap and rotor try them, sometimes the button sticks in the cap. Other than that check the coil and igniter.
