Integra wouldn't start!!
Hey guys,
I ran into a problem tonight. My car died on the highway, my brother was driving it... The gas is still high but when trying to start it would not start whatsoever. Tried jumping as well. I figured its the distributor that went out because i checked for sparks no sign of spark. but the car made the starting sound like it would start but it won't. Am I right about the distributor? Anyone else got any other idea? Please share

hey guys thanks for the advise.. I found the problem its my timing belt, it broke. I took my distributor out and notice that its not moving at all.. so i checked my belt. It broke, so i guess i have to take my car apart and fix my timing belt. If my timing broke do you guys t..hink the valve is bent?? or my rodd is bent?

If you tried starting it with no timing belt, then you definitely will have bent valves (pistons moving, valves not moving with some of them in the open position).
Time to pull the head off the engine and replace the valvetrain.

If you cranked the engine without a timing belt, I can pretty much guarantee you that some valves are bent. It's an interference engine design, that's what happens if there is no timing belt in place.
i got the worst luck in the world man.. thanks guys for helping me out... i checked the valve i cause as much has the GSR head on ebay so i night go with the GSR head... and oh one more question guys.. Is the valve on the b20 the same size? if it is i can remove it from the b20 head ... i didn't want to use the b20 ccause there are no clamp that hold hte cams down..

b20 is not vtec, you are opening a big can of 'pain in the ***'.

I think the b20 valves are larger (b20 made for more torque because its a light-truck engine), but not 100% sure.
If you went vtec you would need alot more than just a head, its like having sex with a hooker, other **** comes with it.
you need a golden eagle vtec conversion kit, vtec ecu, vtec distributor, intake manifold off gsr or upgraded one, and a bit more.

just go to an acura dealer pick up some stock headstuds($145) and buy a new timming belt($50) and put the b20 head on your ls.. i put a b20 head on my ls in my hatch and it was all good. it was actually a little faster.. and that will be cheaper than puttin a vtec head on, and cheaper than fixing your valves. let me know if you have any questions i had to do it all myself also...

You sure it wouldn't mess up the valve with b20?...
