There might be more types of turbos, but I got this from an article in sport car magazine. IT could probably have been easier to scan, but dont have a scanner. So I retyped it. It took about 6 hours messing around the tables to line up. Well here it goes. any input or revisions appreciated so dont flame. Hope this helps.

First table is for quick boost and dies out quick, starts building boost at 1500rpm to 2000rpm and working hard by 2500 to 3500 (good for 6-16psi).
Junkyard turbos are probably best for lower boost nor more than 10psi on bigger engines and 14psi on smaller engines. Also junkyard turbos coming from automatics transmission typically have smaller exhaust housings for quicker spool but less top-end power.

Maximum street performance
these turbos have boost at 2500 rpm working hard at 3500 to 4500rpm. remember the ball bearing center section have boost 400-600 less lag.
