sorry to hear dov, hopefully you can source the parts quick and get it back on the dyno to finish tuning it. Must have been soooo hard to watch on sunday instead of racing.

See you later tonight anyways.

We have a stock GSR pulley and have used this bottom end a few times with no problems. Just surprised more than anything!!!

Dov: Whats up man. Been where you are plenty of times. Dump the pro drive **** and run a stock pump. We have been running a stock pump all year and have had no problems we have spun the motor upwards of 11k. Or if you have the funds switch to an external wet sump I have been told that they work great.

Stock pump is worse than Pro-Drive IMO....Maybe you get a few lucky ones but once they see hard boost and high rpm BOOM!

Well we run all motor so I ordered a 94 GSR pump. When we save up some $$$ I want to go wet sump but right now we just spent a bunch on cams pistons rods and crank. We were so lucky that the new stuff was not in. We were trying out the cams and gas. It worked out well until the oil pump went. I think we are going to stick with the C16 and not run the ethanol anymore.
Thanks for all the input guys!!

Those are some mighty high compression pistons!

GL on the rebuild. Sump is much better! But we're not all made out of money.

I think the best way is to get dry sump. Mike Morten at Peterson Fluid Systems can help you out if you're wanting to go in that dirrection. http://www.petersonfluidsys.com/

Sorry to hear about that, good thing the motor is ok.

I have to STRONGLY disagree with that, we have run a stock oil pump in kenny's car for the past 4 years or so. His car has a dry sump setup, but it's not like everyone elses, it still uses a stock pump and stock gear. If your stock pump breaks, it's because you have a problem with something in your motor. Align bore, bearing clearances, loose flywheel, loose crank pulley, no dampner, etc. It's not the pumps fault...

Pro drive is different, it is the pumps fault. lol

we went through 5 pumps last year, we tried them all ITR,prodrive,Toda you name it we tried it. We finally replaced the N1 pull with a stock and never had another problem. This year nothing but stock GSR. Lots of boost, lots of revs, Lots of runs never a problem.

If you do not trust me. Listen to Tony he knows what he is talking about.

Dov: you guys still using the 1/2 inch head studs?

no gear will stand up to a pully without a harmonic balancer , but the only ones ive seen break with harmonic balancers is prodrive , the just plain suck *****. get a toda and call it a day , maybe get a fluidampener to go with it

N20 Yes we run the half inch head studs. A bit of a pain in the *** because when I order head gaskets from Golden Eagle they don't drill for larger studs. We are looking in to wet sump/dry sump but I don't think it will be till next year. Just have to cross our fingers with the stock ones!!!!

Billy I hope we are the first in the tens up here but there are other people that are closer. Best of luck to them John Joe . Hope you guys can make it to Atco!!! Unfortunately we won't be able to run the NCRA event but I think Atco will be good to!!

A unibit works nice to open up the gasket for 1/2 inch studs.
