ticking sound when turning
Hi. When I make a right turn at slow, parking lot speeds, I hear a ticking sound coming from my driver's side front wheel. Initially I thought it might be the wheel bearing, but now I've noticed it only ticks when in gear. So if I coast through a right turn with the clutch in or in neutral, there is no sound, but in gear the driver's front wheel goes tick, tick, tick...
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Something with the differential? There are no other symptoms, just this ticking sound.
Thanks

Hold on... before you go and change your axel, check first to see if the CV boot broke and lost all it's lube. I had this problem and the fix was simple... tighten the bolt that holds the axel in place and lube it. (take off your rims and you should see a bolt in the center of the rotor. A new axel and installation shouldn't cost you more than $250 at a shop... or you an do it yourself.

wtf are u gus talking about..go to pep boys with ur old axle and give tha to them and 80 bucks and u got a axle wtha alifetime warranty...its realy esy to put a axle in, half hour tops....rebuilt axle 100 bucks is bull ****...u have a preludemoo in ur accord, u should know stuff like this
Yeah- go to pepboys and buy an $80 piece of absolute garbage!! I tried FOUR of their "rebuilt" junk axles and they all knocked within a week. I got my money back. This was one step in my education on how aftermarket parts are GARBAGE. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself. Maybe you could have pepboyZ install it for you and break your differential side gears in the process. The shift quality would be excellent if you are unfortunate enough that they use 90 weight gear oil in your tranny!! That place is a Honda's worst nightmare. I wouldn't go there to buy washer fluid.

I'll back fixhondas here and completely agree that a majority of aftermarket parts are garbage... or to put it another way, A good chunk of my weekly paycheck comes from people who attempt to save a few bucks buying **** parts...
