hey anybody know whats causing a clicking sound when you accelerate hard, sometimes when shifting, it's coming from the front driver side i checked the mount, tightened the axle, checked wheel bearing. i searched and found that a lot of guys are having the same problem but nobody came up with the answer

hmm, u sure its not ur axle? turn ur wheel as far left (towards the corner u hear the clicking from) and do a U turn... just to make sure.. cuz if it clicks then, then its ur axle.. but other than that, im not sure what else it could be

Now that's weird. From the steering wheel. Yup do what 91 said. could be your axle.

It could be the CV joint. Check your CV boots for any cracks or tears that could let the grease escape.

Could be an axle. I had the same thing, replaced both my axles, clicking went away. Common problem..

no cracks in the boot, did turn the wheel all the way to the left and right while driving, clicking happens when accelerating hard

bro, im sayin, check them out just to be sure.. cuz let me tell u this, not to really scare you.. but something to think about so you can be more cautious... my friend was going down the freeway and he had clicking, but wasnt sure what it was, i told him it was his cv joins/axle.. he said, oh it'll be fine, ill check it when i have time... so he was driving down the freeway going like 60(slow) and it snapped on him.. his wheel fell off or something.. i dont remember, and it made him go left (on left lane too thank god) right into the wall.. and slid for a while.. while his car was scraping aginst it.. lucky he didnt hit any cars... but all that **** just because he was lazy and didnt wanna check out his axle's/cvjoints/boot

just lookin out for you bro.. (not to sound ghey)

tnx for the precaution, really appreciate it, anyway i actually just got done replacing my axle and the clicking is gone, although the car pulls to the left now, i took off the tie rod so i was thinking it's off, hopefully an alignment will fix it

i was gonna say axle too.....but now it sounds like you have a diff problem w/it pulling left.....are you sure they gave you the correct axle, maybe its too short. i used to manage an advance auto and axles would end up in the wrong boxes all the time or theyd rebuild them wrong bc theyd fit, but theyd be to short or too long...you didnt count the threads when you took the tie rod end off? i always do and put it back and its fine but i get an alignment just to make sure though.
