Well this is the project ill be working on completing in the next month or so.
GE Sleeved D16Z6 block
JE 77mm 9:1 Pistons
Eagle H-beam Rods
I'm debating what to do about the head. I was going to use my y8 but as it seems that won't work because of headstud issues. if i do acquire a z6 head I may try to get some mild headwork done (maybe valve job, mild porting). Well we'll see how it all goes. I'm selling my turbo setup (just turbo, manifold, downpipe, injectors, resistorbox and oil lines) and putting the $$$ towards the assembly. When it's done and working fine, I'm gonna assemble another kit. More than likely an SFP tubular manifold (i want my a/c damnit!), the t3/t04e 46 trim i have here. 550cc injectors and my current hondata 2b. The other supporting parts (Bov, oil lines, etc) i'll choose as time comes around. Well we'll see how it all goes.

Nice to see another SOHC out there wanting to build up. Mine (Built Block) should be here next week.
GE sleeved block bored to 78mm
Endyn pistons
Eagle Rods with upgraded rod bolts
ARP Studs
All assembly is being done at Endyn (I have ZERO time so it was worth it to me)
Port and Polished head with 3 angle valve job, Stainless 1mm oversized valves, Ferrea retainers, forged keepers, springs. Oh combustion chamber opened up for bigger bore.
We just finished the new turbo setup a couple of months ago. I have been tuning as I get time. It is pretty good now. Idles like stock and pretty much drives like stock. Some tuning still needed.
Here is a link to it.

I have a Hondata S200 with Romulator for Engine Management. I am also using RC 800cc injectors.
I plan on pushing this car to the limits.

nice. does the block need to be notched for those rods? if so, will the notches be done on the sleeves?
</TD></TR></TABLE>
no the block doesn't need to be notched for those rods. if i remember correctly there were two different models of the Eagle rods, one required notching, the other didn't.

nice to see the sohc supporters coming out

well this seems to be the planned setup on a whole
Engine:
D16Z6 GE Sleeved Block
JE 77mm 9:1 pistons
Eagle H-Beam Rods
Stock D16Z6 head (if i ever find out that my y8 head will work... ill use that. either head i use will be stock for now)
D16Z6 tranny (unless i feel like having my y8 one rebuilt)
ACT XT pressure plate an Exedy/Daiken 6 puck ceramic disk
Turbo setup:
>Garrett T3/T04E 46 Trim
>South Florida Performance Turbo Manifold (the new tubular ones)
>South Florida Performance Downpipe
>Tial 35mm Wastegate
>Drag Piping
>Drag Intercooler
>Greddy Type-R Blow Off Valve
Fuel System:
>RC 550cc (or bigger) Injectors
>88-91 Injector Resistor Box
>255lph Walbro High Pressure Intank Fuel Pump (FPH003)
Electronics/Gauges/Tuning:
>Hondata 2B
>Greddy Turbo Timer
>Greddy 60mm Electronic EGT Gauge (Black Face)
>Autometer Sport-Comp A/F Ratio Gauge
>Autometer Sport-Comp Boost Gauge
>Oil Feed stuff:
- AC Autotech/Golden Eagle Oil Filter Adapter
- (2) -4AN straight steel hose ends
- Steel 1/8" NPT to 4AN fitting
- (2) aluminum 1/8" NPT to 4AN fittings
- 4ft of -4AN hose
>Oil Return stuff:
- Oil pan welding
- (2) -4AN straight steel hose ends
- 2ft of -4AN hose
- Earl's 1/2" NPT to -10AN adapter
Everything in bold I already have.
won't all be done for now. just working on getting the motor assembled and into the car, then ill finish the rest of the turbo setup. Any suggestions? comments?
